They still sounds amazing in my opinion. Followed. :)
i love guns and roses! their stuff at nyc's hard rock cafe is cool!
maybe they run out of this to write about.
money. nice post btw, keep it up.
Not necessarily. Look at Trent Reznor. Been in the music business since 89, and his sound is constantly evolving and has worked on so many things, from film soundtracks, to game soundtracks (Quake I believe), and so many bands in between (NIN, HTDA, Tapeworm). It's all dependent on the person and their love for their art rather than love for the money.
Good question, 1+ follower.
Thats definitely true...remember the rolling stones at the superbowl. Ugh.
They have lost their magic imo. But I still think they are pretty rocking. Rock and Roll will never die.
creative is trashed by drug/alcohol abuse, they just dont give a damn anymore really. after making millions who cares about making new "good" stuff?
I'll tell you exactly why: bands have their entire lives to work on their first few albums until they get signed (or noticed or whatever), and then they have a schedule to keep. They are under pressure to keep releasing albums, and make them better at that. Unless you find a truly creative band, you won't often see bands get better with time. They have to recycle old material or change their style or find some other way to keep albums coming out. And that's just not the way to make a good album.
It's a sad thing, but over time, you just lose interest, lose quality, do everything already.
Age withers beauty. Hendrix and Cobain will always be remembered great as that's how they died. Price of fame, eh?
Seriously. I ask myself that same question all the time.
I feel you man. Its like most of these bands get stuck seeing the money and forget why they started making music in the first place.
"It's better to burn out than to fade away"
FAme gets to their head and they don't try as hard.
+1 to what everyone else has said. Followed.
The price of success is your soul.
I love this song my friend! Everyone gets older.. it is natural, so we should go every gig of favourite band, who knows when they stop play? And imagine Jimi Hendrix with 4 hands :D
not all bands get worse as they grow older i think... hmm... oh wait. you're right.
Well they get bored of doing the same thing for all the year, and the fans get bored too. :/ +
It's hard to keep fans happy, you can't keep producing the same record, and those previous records are why your fans love you. It's definitely hard as a band to go in different directions and have fans stay open minded about it.
I love this song so much
They always say "the good die young" and all that, but honestly it's almost a blessing. I wouldn't want to see Jimi Hendrix at a super bowl halftime show with Elton John.
I still prefer the grunge..
guns n roses is a great band, but the sad fact is that there is a shelf life on talent and skill. grab success while it's still in reach...
i agree. it's sad.
